Day-nine...

Daywalker... My daily walkabout camera the Canon G11, I got it for my birthday last year and it's been my constant companion ever since. Before that my daily camera was the iPhone, great for a quick post to Flickr. Cold day today got into the 20's in the morning and tomorrow's supposed to get colder, hopefully I can get a quick run at something outdoors tomorrow... till tomorrow... enjoy...

Day-eight...

Melancholy... Sad day at the office, I thought I was the only one who was a little upset at UT's loss last night at the BCS championship game. Boy was I wrong... didn't realize there were that many UT fans at the office. Ohh well there's always basketball... LoLz... Anyways I'm really itching to move this project out of the house, there's only so much that you can do in one's office and I really would like to do more street photography, something to work on... till tomorrow... enjoy...

Day-seven...

I am Dax... This is Dax, my little buddy, he went to the vet today and was a really brave little man. Tonight's picture was supposed to be one of the UT tower lit up orange, but no such luck they ended up losing the national championship... ohh well there's always next year. Till tomorrow... enjoy...

Day-six...

Finally... day-six and I almost didn't get this photo for the day in, every idea that I had didn't work out or wasn't what I was looking for. I have a greater respect for folks who get great self portraits of them self, it's tough especially in the dark. I had to chicken out and take tonight's photo in my office as I couldn't get the pre-focus down while working on it outside and took a break and was flipping through Joe McNally's book Hot Shoe Diaries and Finally... the light bulb in my head went off and here we have tonight's photo... till tomorrow... enjoy...

Day-five...

A World in HDR --Trey Ratcliff... Today's photo title has two meanings, first this is my first attempt at HDR photography. I've been reading a great book by HDR/Travel photographer Trey Ratcliff check out his site/blog @ Stuck in Customs. Secondly, this is the loop on the north side of the Pfluger pedestrian bridge near downtown Austin which was built by HDR, Inc. and now you know. No strobist photo tonight... enjoy...

Day-four...

Just give me the light -- Sean Paul... Well this is my backup plan for today, between errands, the weather, and trying to find just the right light which no matter what kind of equipment you have is sometimes almost impossible to find (well at least in my case it was). Ohh well... there's always tomorrow...

Day-three...

Weapon of Choice -- FatBoy Slim... I've had this song stuck in my head all day since I started thinking about what my photo of the day was going to be about, so I decided what better subject than one of my favorite lenses... today we ventured out on a leisurely Sunday walk, but being how the day was a little overcast nothing I shot really came out the way that I was expecting. Hopefully tomorrow we'll be getting out of the home studio and getting something with my portable lighting kit... we shall see... till tomorow...
